TEACHING PRACTICE:WEEK 06

DAY 01

30/09/2024 MONDAY

I began my day at 9:15 AM, signing the register as usual. The day commenced with the morning assembly at 9:30 AM, where we witnessed the oath-taking ceremony of our newly elected school leaders:

- School Chairman

- Vice Chairman

- Sports Secretary

- Arts Secretary


Our principal delivered speech, emphasizing the importance of responsible plastic waste disposal. He urged students to adopt eco-friendly habits and refrain from littering.

As per the timetable, I had my second-period class in 8B, where I introduced the topic waste management and sustainable agriculture. The use of ICT captivated the students' attention, and they grasped the concepts well.

After a productive morning session, I had no additional periods or substitutions. In the afternoon, we distributed lunch . From 2 p.m onwards PTA meeting was there for students from 5 to 9th standards.

We concluded the day with the national anthem at 3:30 PM, reflecting on our commitment to nurturing responsible citizens and future leaders.


DAY 02

1/10/2024 TUESDAY

*A Rainy Day at School*

Today was a wet and tiring day, but I pushed through. I arrived at school at 9:15 AM, signed the register, and headed to my first period class, 9D, where I taught my prepared lesson on hemoglobin and oxygen diffusion into cells .

Substitutions were the theme of the day. After 9D, I was assigned to cover 7C during the third period. During lunch distribution in the hall, our biology teacher dropped by to discuss the Science Magazine manuscript.

The day concluded with the national anthem at 3:30 PM, accompanied by heavy rain outside.


DAY 03

3/10/2024 THURSDAY 

_A Day of Flexibility_

Today was a unique day at school, filled with unexpected twists and opportunities for collaboration.

I began the day at 9:15 AM, signing the register and preparing for my lessons. Distributing lunch in the noon allowed me to interact with students and colleagues.

The highlight of my day was supposed to be teaching 9D during the fifth period. However, upon arrival, I discovered it was time for the National Achievement Test - question and answer discussion. The class teacher, Sir, was leading the session.

Instead of teaching, I assisted Sir in delivering questions and facilitating discussions. This impromptu collaboration continued until 3:30 PM.


DAY 04

04/10/2024 FRIDAY

Today, I began my day at 9:00 AM, signing the register and preparing for an engaging lesson.

My second-period class with 8B was a highlight. I had meticulously planned my lesson on "Reaping Diversity"  assets to explore various agriculture sectors, including polyhouse farming, poultry farming, lifestyle management, horticulture, floriculture, sericulture, and other scientific approaches. Incorporating ICT enabled visualization, making concepts more accessible and captivating for my students.

The lesson's interactive nature sparked curiosity and enthusiasm, demonstrating the power of technology-enhanced learning. This approach allowed students to better understand the diverse applications of agricultural science.

Following a fulfilling teaching experience, I distributed lunch in the noon and wrapped up the day at 3:30 PM. It was a satisfying day, knowing I'd made a positive impact on my students' learning journey.

DAY 01 01/08/2024 Thursday   Today was the first day of my teaching practice.We 9 students from Kaviyatt ollege of Education are alloted to Government Vocational Higher Secondary School Pirappancode for our teaching practice.  By 9.15 in the morning 8 of us reached the school,Shan Mohammed(one among us of physical science option) was unable to attend that day due to an emergency.By 9.15 am we met the Head Master and signed the register. TEACHING PRACTICE: WEEK 02

DAY 01 05/08/2024 MONDAY Today was the third day of my teaching practice.I reached the school at 9.15 am,marked my attendance,and made some final preparations as I have to take class on 8B in the second period.  After the morning prayer, HM meet us and give some instructions regarding the completion of our portion as onam exams are approaching. After the the office staff came and assign us substitution classes. when the bell rang it's the second period and I went to 8B ,it was my first class and I introduced myself to them,as there was no time to waste I started my portion and the first topic that I should teach was the "DIVERSITY AMONG CELLS AND TISSUES" .I successfully completed the topic by giving activities and the students responded very well.In the class there was a special student so a teacher of special education also sits in my class to help that student in person.I also try my best to make him understand the topic. ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBERATION

World Environmental Day is celebrated annually on June 5. We natural Science conducted the assembly and programs in the college. This day was celebrated from 1972 to create awareness about environmental issues and protection of our Nature. We conducted our assembly with the name 'Thalir' and based on 2024 environmental day theme. I anchored the assembly, Tahani delivered the prayer song, Amritha delivered the speech, Arya delivered thought of the day and Sasya presented Newspaper section. Ardra with the speech and bhagyshree with the moral story is also exiting.Akshay delivered special pledge on environmental day and a quiz section. We gifted seeds to the participants. The next session ,we selected our Nature friend and gifted plants ,it was really a thought provoking activity suggested by our teachers.
